Maia Sandu's re-election praised by Patriarch

Maia Sandu was congratulated by Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople for being re-elected as President of the Republic of Moldova. A letter to this effect was sent through the Consulate General of Moldova in Istanbul.

In his message, Patriarch Bartholomew I states that, "The Ecumenical Patriarchate remains committed to supporting efforts that promote the dignity of every person and the values that protect the common good."

"We rejoice together with the Moldovan people, who have once again trusted your vision, dedication, and commitment to the well-being and development of your nation," His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew I further emphasises, asking the Lord to bless Maia Sandu's efforts and wishing for a future filled with perspective, unity, and peace for the Moldovan people.

It is worth noting that, following the second round of the presidential elections, Maia Sandu won a new presidential term with a score of 55.33%. On Saturday, November 9, the Central Electoral Commission declared the results of the presidential elections valid.
