"Romania is interested that, by the time we will be able to exploit the deep-sea gas from the Black Sea, to satisfy the consumption needs using the Egyptian liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal", stated Nicolae Ciucă.
The Romanian Prime Minister expressed his confidence that, together with the Egyptian partners, the necessary solutions will be found in order to supply the quantity of gas required to Romania, as well as to provide support to the Republic of Moldova.
The Romanian company Transgaz and the Egyptian state-owned company Egas have signed a Memorandum of Understanding under which they will jointly support mutually beneficial projects in the field of natural gas transportation to facilitate the transition to a low-carbon energy sector by integrating renewable resources.
