Moldova election hotline: Over 7,000 calls received

The Central Election Commission (CEC) reported that 7,864 calls were received by the voter information hotline during the presidential elections and constitutional referendum in Moldova.

The majority of these calls, 5,404, originated from citizens directly. The most common inquiries pertained to voting procedures, including:

In some instances, voters reported finding themselves pre-registered for Russian locations on the verifica.cec.md platform, despite not having initiated this process. These incidents were documented, and voters were advised to contact the police.

The hotline was operational from September 2 to November 4. It provided information support to a diverse range of individuals, including voters, registrars, operators, electoral officials, representatives of electoral competitors, and observers.
