Odessa hit by Russian missile attack: 8 dead, many injured
Eight people lost their lives in a missile attack launched by Russian forces on the city of Odessa, according to Ukrainian MP Oleksii Gonciarenko.
Among the victims were residents of two residential buildings that were heavily damaged.
Additionally, an unexploded missile reportedly struck the building of an educational institution directly. Local authorities also report numerous injuries and continue to assess the situation.
The attack on Odessa follows shortly after the massive bombings on November 17 and the deadly attacks on Sumy. Rescue teams and emergency response units have been mobilised to help those affected.
