Protest in front of Moldova 1. The reaction of the "Teleradio-Moldova" Company’s leadership
They want the Government to pay the electricity, heat and natural gas bills in full for three winter months for domestic consumers. That is what the supporters of the "Sor" Party and the "People's Movement" said at the protest in front of the headquarters of the Public Television, Moldova 1. They also want their initiatives to be supported and mediatized.
Carrying placards in their hands, some 40 people rallied in front TV Moldova 1 headquarters. Asked what the purpose of the demonstration was, some protesters refused to talk in front of the camera.
Reporter Moldova 1: "- Why are you protesting here today?". Demonstrator: "- Done, be healthy." Reporter Moldova 1: "- Why did you come here?". Demonstrator: "- Let's see you." Demonstrator: "- We do not comment." Reporter Moldova 1: "- You came to protest, why don't you comment?". Demonstrator: "- Please keep your distance." Demonstrator: "- Madam, please, no comments." Reporter Moldova 1: "- Why?". Demonstrator: "- No comments."
Organisers of the protest criticised the Public Institution "Teleradio-Moldova".
"The National Television, however, should come with a reaction in a more coherent way and be equidistant and impartial. We will talk to all citizens of the Republic of Moldova, with the diaspora as well. The Moldovan press is free, that's why I think it's natural to go to all of them", said Tatiana Gorea, municipal councillor, Orhei.
The management of the "Teleradio-Moldova" Company came with a reply, underling that it would continue to reflect any representative public event, without bias and prejudice. In addition, Moldova 1 journalists carefully examine the events that take place in society in order to decide with discernment and professionalism how important they are, on which ultimately the agenda of our informative and social programs is based.
