Moldova’s government reshuffle: New leadership for key ministries
Prime Minister Dorin Recean held a press conference in which he announced changes in the government.
Ludmila Catlabuga will head the Ministry of Agriculture
The current Minister of Agriculture, Vladimir Bolea, will transition to lead the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
"At the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, ongoing projects will continue, and a key issue that must be addressed is the revitalization of the construction sector, as it is a driver of economic growth. Another area of focus is the financial and operational restructuring of Moldova's Railways. We need a comprehensive financial plan and a restructuring of the workforce. The selection and allocation of local development projects must be improved to ensure community development. Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea will take on this portfolio and will be responsible for implementing these priorities," said Dorin Recean.
Ludmila Catlabuga will assume leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Her candidacy was consulted with relevant agricultural associations, Dorin Recean mentioned.
Recean announced Daniela Misail-Nichitin as the new Minister of Internal Affairs
"In the field of internal affairs, we need to ensure better synergy between subdivisions and efficient coordination of efforts from the management teams within the Ministry. Equally important is the negotiation process with the EU, where we need to make greater use of opportunities for the internal affairs system and the security and public order system in Moldova. Daniela Misail-Nichitin will be responsible for this portfolio," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
