A thousand days of war in Ukraine// The leadership of the Republic of Moldova sent messages of solidarity: "Ukrainians defend peace on the continent"
A thousand days after the Russian Federation launched its invasion of Ukraine, the authorities in Chisinau have issued strong messages of solidarity with the Ukrainian people. In this context, Chisinau reaffirms its commitment to support Ukraine’s efforts for peace, freedom, and stability in the region.
"Today marks a thousand days since Ukraine has bravely resisted terrible aggression. These thousand days have seen bombs falling mercilessly on the homes of Ukrainians, with children deported, families separated, and hospitals, schools, and kindergartens destroyed. Towns and villages have been wiped off the map, and thousands of precious lives have been lost. However, Ukrainians resist because they love their country. They defend not only their own land but also our peace; they are defending the peace of our continent," said President Maia Sandu.
The head of state reaffirmed that the Republic of Moldova will continue to support the Ukrainian people. "Moldova stands with our Ukrainian neighbors and friends. We will continue to support the Ukrainian people because together we believe in a future of peace and freedom," said the President.
For 1,000 days, Ukraine has been fighting tirelessly to defend its land and freedom with incredible courage.

The Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, also conveyed a message of support.
"It's been a thousand days that the Russian Federation has been bombing the villages and cities of Ukraine, causing millions of Ukrainians to live through a tragic ordeal. For a thousand days, Ukraine has fought heroically, standing tall in the face of the aggressor. The Ukrainian people deserve victory, and Moldova will be by their side through thick and thin," declared Igor Grosu.
We remind you that since the war began in Ukraine, the authorities in Chisinau have condemned Russia's actions against its neighboring state and have supported Ukrainian refugees.
