Igor Grosu, expectations from the new ministers: We will insist on change

After the appointment of the new members of the Government, the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, said that he has concrete expectations from each minister. In the context, he claims that the Ministry of Internal Affairs must have better cooperation between the subdivisions of the institution. According to the official, the experience of the two campaigns: the presidential and the constitutional referendum showed that such interaction was needed earlier.

"We must work on the prevention, so that we do not end up witnessing such a number of voter corruption. The figures that we have operated with and are operating with, including from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, are 150 thousand each, the target being 300 thousand from the Russian Federation". At the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the new minister, Vladimir Bolea, must continue all projects, including the "European Village", which is a priority: "Roads, bridges and other infrastructure projects are vital".

At the same time, the Parliament Speaker said that the candidacy of the new Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Ludmila Catlabuga, was approved after consultations with associations of farmers and agricultural producers. According to him, she must put "emphasis on policies for creating added value in agriculture, processing and industrialization in this field".

"These are the reshuffles that we decided on at the moment. On the agricultural dimension, after consultations with associations of farmers and agricultural producers, this candidacy was proposed, which comes from a field of agriculture with added value and the agri-food industry", said Igor Grosu. Igor Grosu also added that in justice field, the legal framework needs to be improved.

"The backlogs are on the side of the prosecutor's office and the courts. There, changes are not the prerogative of Parliament, but we are discussing the SCM, the CSP, don't tell me again that they don't have enough rooms and pencils. Change must occur and we will insist on this," the Parliament Speaker said.

We remind you that yesterday, November 18, Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced changes in the Government and proposed the change of three of the 16 ministers in his cabinet.
