DHL cargo plane crashes in Vilnius: Pilot dead and two injured
A DHL cargo plane crashed on Monday morning while attempting to land at Vilnius Airport, as announced by Lithuanian authorities.
According to Flightradar24, it was a Boeing 737 flying from Leipzig, as reported by BBC.
According to the Delfi publication, the plane crashed onto a two-story house. A severe fire broke out at the scene.
Preliminary data indicates that four people were aboard — two pilots and two DHL employees.

The broadcaster LRT reports, citing the Fire Department of the Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior (PAGD), that at least one person is dead, and two others were wounded. According to preliminary data, the deceased individual is one of the pilots. The source states that he was conscious when rescuers found him but passed away a few minutes later.
In recent weeks, international media have reported multiple explosions at DHL logistics centres across Europe. Western intelligence agencies suspect that these incidents may be connected to the activities of Russian intelligence services, DW reports.
