Victor Parlicov meets Gazprom chief to discuss gas supply plans

Energy Minister Victor Parlicov met today in Saint Petersburg with Alexei Miller, the director of Gazprom.

The Russian conglomerate announced in a brief statement, without elaborating, that the parties discussed the state of the gas sector during their meeting.

When contacted for additional information, representatives of the Ministry of Energy indicated they would provide details "soon."

Before Parlicov's visit to Saint Petersburg, authorities in Chișinău announced that the main topics of discussion would include ensuring natural gas supplies to the Transnistrian region starting January 1, 2025, and exploring alternative delivery routes in the event that transit through Ukraine is suspended.
