Moldovans will be able to request an ambulance or police using a mobile application
Citizens of the Republic of Moldova will be able to request an ambulance or police with a single click, using a mobile application. An agreement in this regard was signed by the 112 Service with an economic agent that is developing the application from a technical viewpoint.
Thanks to this agreement, citizens will be able to request emergency services just by pressing a button on their mobile phone, the press officer of the 112 service, Ana Carpovici, told Radio Moldova.
“Being in a dangerous situation, by clicking on the application you will be able to transmit important information to the 112 Service, such as: name, surname, phone number and location of the caller. This person will not need to call the emergency number 112, but will only call through this application. This service is free and will be accessible. This will allow people to quickly benefit from specialized emergency services. It will be available to all citizens of the Republic of Moldova. It will be possible to request the intervention of both the police, the ambulance, and the firefighters,” said the 112 press officer.
Ana Carpovici said that the authorities expect that, by the end of this year, the application for requesting the intervention of 112 specialists will be launched.
It will be free to download to your mobile phone, and an Internet connection will not be required for its use.
