According to Ukrainian authorities, the Novodnestrovsk Hydropower Plant was attacked, and Ukrainian air defense systems repelled the attack.

In context, the Border Police states that PTF Otaci and PTF Unguri ceased their activity due to air alerts on the territory of the neighboring country, but they resumed their activity around 09:20.

The mayor of Bîrnova, Valeriu Scutelnic, told Teleradio-Moldova that loud bangs were heard, but people in the village are calm, they are not panicking.

"There was a noise that something was flying and a weaker bang was heard, then a stronger bang in the direction of Novodnestrovsk, we are close here and yes, repeated noises were heard," said Scutelnic.

We remind you that in recent weeks several drones have been found by citizens on the territory of the country. On November 19, a drone was spotted in the Port Mall and Arena Chisinau perimeter in Chisinau municipality. Two other Russian drones were spotted on November 10 - one in the Causeni district and another in Râșcani.

Also, at the beginning of the month, a missile was observed on the Ukrainian side in the Larga village, Briceni, and a resident of the village of Groznița, Briceni announced that he saw two drone-like aircraft at a height of approximately 100 meters. We remind you that the Moldovan authorities have repeatedly condemned the violation of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the war initiated by Russia in Ukraine.
