Steaua Bucharest FC draws 0-0 against Olympiacos Piraeus in Europa League

Tough match for Steaua Bucharest FC (FCSB) in the Europa League, which ended in a draw. Elias Charalambous' side drew 0-0 at home against Olympiacos Piraeus and continues the fight for playoff qualification.

The match at Arena Națională (National Arena) was far from spectacular. At FCSB, only David Miculescu and Darius Olaru threatened the Greek goal with powerful shots. Olympiacos created clearer chances, which were missed by Ayoub El Kaabi and Christos Mouzakitis. The Romanian champions played with 10 men from the 67th minute after Daniel Bîrligea was shown a second yellow card for a foul and sent off. After 5 matches, SBFC has 10 points and is 10th in the Europa League group standings.

Interestingly, the Bucharest team remains ahead of Manchester United in the standings. The "Red Devils" sit in 12th place with 9 points. Last night, Ruben Amorim's side defeated Norway's Bodo/Glimt 3-2. Alejandro Garnacho scored for the hosts in the first minute, with the visitors overturning the score in just 4 minutes, before Rasmus Hojlund equalized just before halftime. Early in the second half, the Danish striker scored again, sealing the victory.

In another thrilling encounter, Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 with AS Roma. Heung-Min Son scored the opener, the visitors equalized through Evan N'Dicka, and Brennan Johnson put Spurs ahead again, but Mats Hummels salvaged a draw for AS Roma in the 90+1st minute.

Lazio Roma, Athletic Bilbao, and Eintracht Frankfurt sit in the top 3 positions in the standings. Each has 13 points and is all but guaranteed to qualify for the playoff.
