MPs of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists submit no-confidence motion against Recean Government
On Friday, December 5, the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) submitted a no-confidence motion against the government led by Dorin Recean. The motion, signed by 26 MPs, was presented during a plenary session of Parliament, where BCS members expressed their dissatisfaction with the Executive's performance.
"The Republic of Moldova has been led for the past three years by the PAS government, which seems willing to sacrifice the national interest, the well-being of its citizens, and the future of our children for the approval of external partners," stated the deputy of BCS Petru Burduja from the parliamentary rostrum.
According to parliamentary regulations, a no-confidence motion can be initiated by a minimum of 26 MPs, and the debate must occur within 14 days of its submission, as determined by the Standing Bureau.
If the motion is approved, the Prime Minister is required to submit the government's resignation to the President of the Republic of Moldova within three days.
