Vasile Bolea, in the sights of National Integrity Authority. He was caught with unjustified wealth of over 231 thousand lei. The deputy reacts
Independent Deputy Vasile Bolea may lose his seat in Parliament after failing to report over 231 thousand lei in income in his statement on property for the years 2018-2019. This discrepancy was discovered by the National Integrity Authority (ANI). Bolea said for the Public Broadcaster „Teleradio-Moldova” that this was the first time he heard about the matter and claimed he was not informed about ANI's findings.
According to the ANI document, "There is a substantial difference and the possession of unjustified wealth amounting to 231,109.8 lei. This difference was found between the acquired wealth, the income obtained, and the expenses incurred during 2018-2019 by Vasile Bolea and his family members."
The case will be forwarded to the court for examination, and the unjustified wealth is set to be confiscated.
Additionally, the ANI's Act of Finding orders the termination of the deputy's mandate as well as any employment or service relationships subject to current legislation. As a result, he will also lose the right to hold a public office for three years, with his name registered in the State Register of individuals barred from holding certain positions, as specified by ANI.
