The Republic of Moldova has sufficient natural gas for the winter season

The Republic of Moldova is fully supplied with natural gas for the entire heating season, which runs from October to March. JSC "Moldovagaz" has completed 100% of its natural gas purchases for the right bank of the Nistru. In total, 747.9 million cubic meters of natural gas were purchased.

The weighted average purchase price is about 509 euros per 1,000 cubic meters, or about 9,840 lei per 1,000 cubic meters, with delivery to the Virtual Trading Point (PVT) in Moldova.

The main quantity of gas, about 700.1 million cubic meters, was purchased on the trading platform of SRL "Bursa Română de Mărfuri" (Romanian Commodities Exchange) between August and December 2024.

The remaining volume of natural gas, about 47.8 million cubic meters, was purchased from SA "Energocom" based on the government decision approving the obligation to store natural gas.

The amusement park "Găgăuzia Land," located in the village of Congaz, continues to operate without a permit. Despite this, the park launched its winter holiday festivities on the evening of December 20. The police have concluded two criminal cases related to the park, which have been sent to the court. Viorel Cernăuțeanu, the head of the IGP, stated that only local authorities have the power to halt the park's operations. Meanwhile, the mayor of Congaz said that he is awaiting the court's final decision regarding the matter.
