Nine schools in the Republic of Moldova received new minibuses, purchased with the support of Romania
The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) distributed yesterday the last nine school buses out of the 69 purchased with the support of the Government of Romania. They will reach schools in the districts of Briceni, Căușeni, Criuleni, Florești, Ocnița, Rezina, Soroca, Ștefan-Vodă and Comrat.
According to the Ministry of Education, the minibuses were purchased from the non-refundable financial assistance of 100 million euros, offered by the Romanian Government. The entire batch includes 69 school transport units, of which 40 were distributed in August, and another 20 in October this year.
Romania has previously supported the provision of buses to educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova. Thus, in 2014, the Government of Romania offered a donation of 100 minibuses for the transport of students, with another 95 school transport units being offered to our country in 2017.
