Mihai Popșoi’s visit to India: Strengthening Moldova-India ties

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, is making a working visit to India from December 15-16, during which the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in New Delhi will be officially inaugurated.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit is being held at the invitation of India's Minister of External Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and aims to strengthen Moldovan-Indian bilateral relations and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The discussions between Minister Mihai Popșoi and his Indian counterpart will focus on topics of mutual interest, emphasizing the deepening of political-diplomatic, economic, and commercial cooperation.

According to the agenda, the officials are scheduled to sign important documents in the areas of migration and mobility, renewable energy, and inter-ministerial cooperation.

Additionally, Mihai Popșoi and the Indian Minister will participate in the official inauguration ceremony of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in New Delhi.

The Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister will also take part in the Moldova-India business roundtable, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry, and will meet with representatives from the business community, particularly in the pharmaceutical and renewable energy sectors, to promote investment opportunities in the Republic of Moldova.
