SIS confirmed that it received the information presented by Volodymyr Zelenskiy about Russia's plans in the Republic of Moldova
Shortly after the statements made by the Ukrainian president, the Intelligence and Security Service confirmed that it had received this information. Also, the SIS carries out operative measures to elucidate attempts to destabilize the situation in the country and cooperates closely with the intelligence services of other countries.
SIS confirms that, both from the information presented by our Ukrainian partners, as well as following the operative activity of the Service, activities were identified that would lead to the undermining of the state of the Republic of Moldova, destabilization and violation of public order. At the same time, SIS announces that at this moment, it cannot provide more details, because there is a risk of jeopardizing the various ongoing operational activities.
For now, it is not known when the Moldovan authorities were notified about the plans of the Russian Federation in our country. Political analyst Anatol Țăranu stated for our radio station that Volodimir Zelenski's statements could be related to the warning previously given by the head of the Intelligence and Security Service, Alexandru Musteata.
We remind you that Volodymyr Zelensky declared, on Thursday, during the EU Council meeting that the Ukrainian special services managed to obtain a document containing the Russian plan towards the Republic of Moldova. Also, the Ukrainian leader said that he does not know whether Moscow has decided to resort to the implementation of this plan.
