Presidency of the Republic of Moldova reacts to Zelenski's statements

The Presidency of the Republic of Moldova reacted to today's statements by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who announced at the meeting of the Council of the European Union that Russia had a plan to destabilize the political situation in the Republic of Moldova. In the same intervention, Zelenski said that he informed Maia Sandu.

"The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, is in permanent contact with leaders of states and governments from European countries and with other external partners, including President Zelenski, with whom she has a continuous exchange of opinions and information regarding the situation in the region. Our responsible institutions work to ensure the security of the country and use all the informational help of partners to anticipate and to prevent any attempts to undermine our state", reads the press release of the presidency of the Republic of Moldova. The Intelligence and Security Service confirmed Zelenski's statements regarding Russia's plans to destabilize the situation in the Republic of Moldova, specifying that it had received this information. The SIS also mentions that it carries out operative measures to elucidate attempts to destabilize the situation in the country and cooperates closely with the intelligence services of other countries. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, declared today at the Council of the European Union that he has information that Russia intends to take control of the Republic of Moldova.
