"The enemy attacked the Kharkiv and Zaporozhye regions with up to 35 S-300 surface-to-air missiles that cannot be destroyed by air defenses," the Ukrainian Air Force announced on its Facebook page. Seven people were injured in Kharkiv, reports pravda.ua.com. Soviet S-300 missiles, designed to shoot down aircraft, have been crudely converted by the Russians into weapons for attacking ground targets. The invaders also attacked with C-300 surface-to-air missiles from across the border in Belgorod and the occupied town of Tokmak in southern Ukraine. Air raid sirens blared across Ukraine on Friday as officials warned of a potential large-scale missile attack. The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia attacked critical Ukrainian infrastructure on the Black Sea overnight with seven Iranian Shahed drones and six cruise missiles. Ukrenergo reported that several high-voltage power plants were hit in western, eastern and southern regions of Ukraine, causing power outages. “Furthermore, last night the Russians struck energy infrastructure with drones and missiles aimed at power plants and transmission systems. Measures are being taken by Ukrenergo and emergency shutdowns have been instituted", reads the Ukrainian company's message.
