Fuel prices to rise in Moldova in 2025

Increases in excise duties and trade margins will contribute to higher gasoline and diesel prices in 2025.

The ANRE formula for calculating daily maximum prices of petroleum products from January to June 2025 will include the following total margins:

3.34 lei/liter for gasoline 3.35 lei/liter for diesel These margins will contribute to a 10-ban/liter increase in gasoline prices and an 11-ban/liter increase in diesel prices.

Concurrently, starting from January 1, 2025, new excise duty rates will be gradually included in fuel prices, as follows:

578.16 lei/ton for gasoline 243.28 lei/ton for diesel

It is important to note that rising fuel costs can lead to increased transportation and production expenses, ultimately resulting in higher prices for a wide range of consumer goods.
