How Moldova's electronic agenda transforms education
The electronic agenda is currently used in 650 schools across the Republic of Moldova, with 10% of them having fully transitioned to the digital version, as announced by the Minister of Education and Research, Dan Perciun.
As a result, parents can monitor their children's academic progress online.
"In total, 74,000 parents are using the electronic agenda to track their children's academic progress. For the upcoming year, we plan to place greater emphasis on this process, improve communication with parents, and assist anyone who wishes to use the ministry's information system," said Dan Perciun.
The electronic register enables more efficient communication between teachers, students, and parents, thus facilitating the exchange of information, Perciun further explained. This helps teaching and administrative staff manage student records and academic progress more easily, reducing workload and errors in handling paper-based data.
This initiative is part of the ongoing education digitization plan. The Electronic Agenda is a web-based platform that does not require installation on devices or advanced digital skills. It can be accessed at agenda.sime.md.
