Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs made tough statements to Maia Sandu

Russia was disturbed by President Maia Sandu's statements. The regime in Moscow reacted aggressively following the blackout it caused last week, through the voice of the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova. She claims that Russia supports the Republic of Moldova, although the facts show otherwise. Chisinau did not react to Maria Zaharova's controversial statements.

The spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, known for her extravagant and aggressive outings, Maria Zaharova, reacted to the message of President Maia Sandu. Russia does not admit that it caused the blackout in the Republic of Moldova. Previously, President Sandu had declared that Russia left us in the dark and cold, and Zakharova attacked the leadership of our country in a briefing. "Who left the people of the Republic of Moldova in the dark and cold? Russia, which for so many years helps and supplies with everything it can, which welcomed the Moldovan citizens and gave them work? But what do jobs mean? This is financial support for the families and those who remained in the Republic of Moldova, it is a contribution to the Moldovan economy for 30 years. Doesn't the Romanian citizen, Sandu, know that?" said Maria Zaharova. According to official statistics, in the first nine months of this year, exports to Russia constituted 4.8 percent of the total, and Russian imports accounted for 13.6 percent. This indicator is motivated by the price increase for agricultural fertilizers and natural gas. Moreover, Moscow intentionally reduced the volume of gas delivered. Russia's share of foreign loans and assistance is slightly above zero. Data from the National Bank show that remittances from Russia were seven percent in the first three months of this year. Chisinau did not react to Maria Zaharova's controversial statements. Previously, the Russian ambassador Oleg Vasnetsov was summoned to the Foreign Ministry for explanations, but he justifies the Russian attacks on the Ukrainian civil and energy infrastructure.
