"I would like to point out that the Gavrilița Government was a very good government. It was elected a year and a half, when we had peace in the region. Now we have a very complicated situation, countless crises, so essential measures have been taken to help the population. I don't think we have had a government that has provided so much support and social assistance in the entire history of the country. There was a need for a refresh of the government and we noticed that this happened, but it was also thanks to the society because we noticed that the society demands results and wants immediate results, but we have to look at this aspect in the medium and long term", said Laurentiu Pleșca. The political commentator qualifies Maia Sandu's decision to nominate Dorin Recean as a candidate for prime minister as "welcome". "He is a well-known person in the political space, I think it's a welcome decision, especially since he has national security and defense in the foreground, in the current conditions we have to pay attention to what's happening in our neighborhood", said Laurentiu Pleșca. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița announced her resignation from office. President Maia Sandu nominated Dorin Recean as a candidate for the position of prime minister.
