Energocom: Right bank of the Nistru, provided with electricity on January 15

Energocom announces that it has reserved the necessary commercial capacity of electricity at the border with Romania to fully cover the consumption needs for January 15. According to forecasts, similar consumption is expected on Wednesday on the right bank of the Nistru as on Tuesday, January 14.

Thus, in addition to the electricity generated by local heating plants and renewable energy installations, the rest of the demand will be covered by imports, based on bilateral contracts or on the exchange.

Energocom urges consumers to save electricity during peak hours, to have both lower bills and to ensure the reliability of the electric power system.

We remind you that in recent days, the electricity consumption for the right bank of the Nistru has been fully covered, without the need to activate emergency contracts.

Energocom finds solutions to cover the electricity needs for January 14

SA Energocom, together with the transmission system operators from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, Transelectrica and Moldelectrica, identified solutions to fully cover the deficit of 484 MWh needed for today, January 14. According to the company, during the evening and night of yesterday, other unused capacities were identified at the Ukrainian border with the EU and transferred to the border between Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
