Chisinau condemns Moscow's statements: "This is an inadmissible interference in the internal affairs of our state"
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova "firmly disapproves" the statements of the advisor to the Russian President and resident member of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, who said in an interview for Komsomolskaya Pravda that the Republic of Moldova risks disappearing if it adopts anti-Russian policies. The MFA qualifies these statements as an inadmissible interference in the internal affairs of the Republic of Moldova, emphasizing that such statements aim to destabilize the region.
"The Republic of Moldova is a sovereign state, firmly committed to the path of democracy and European integration," reads the cited source.
Also, the ministry reiterates that the Republic of Moldova will continue to defend its interests firmly, through peaceful means and constructive dialogue, based on respect for sovereignty and the principles of international law.
We remind you that Nikolai Patrushev said in an interview with the Russian press that "Chisinau's aggressive anti-Russian policy will either make Moldova part of another state or will cease to exist."
