Moldovan rescuers on international mission in Turkey keep on working
The Moldovan rescuers on the international mission in Turkey are continuing to help identify the victims under the ruins and rubble of the buildings heavily damaged by the earthquake. During the day yesterday, employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, using two dogs, assessed five residential blocks in the city of Antakya.
The mission of Moldovan specialists is continuing today. The rescuers together with employees of the Turkish Civil Protection Service will move to new sectors to conduct reconnaissance of the lower levels of residential blocks with detection means.
Fifty-five IGSU employees with 12 heavy technical units and 2 search and rescue dogs left on an international mission to Turkey on Monday evening, 6 February.
