Maestro Nicolae Botgros, awarded with a diploma of excellence on Romania's National Day: "We are the ones who carry the Romanian heart in our souls"

Maestro Nicolae Botgros, the conductor of the "Lautarii" Orchestra, was awarded with a diploma of excellence during a performance in Sibiu (Romania) on the occasion of the National Day of Romania.

"Dear friends, I thank the Sibiu County Council from the bottom of my heart and thank the people who always invite us. (...) We come because you are the ones who love us and we are the ones who love you. We are the ones who carry the Romanian heart in our souls and we carry it always, everywhere. We love you, we love you, we love you", said Nicolae Botgros, quoted by Agerpres.

The diploma was handed out for over 50 years in the service of Romanian folk song, this being offered to him by the president of the Sibiu County Council (CJ), Daniela Cîmpean.

"For many reasons, but especially because through his song and the orchestra he leads, he connects Romanian with Romanian, from both sides of the Prut and beyond. (...) Nicolae Botgros, a special man, a perfect professional deserves our recognition. And on this day of December 1st, we show you our respect", said Daniela Cîmpean when handing over the diploma.

In January 2023, maestro Nicole Botgros will be 70 years old, of which 53 are at the service of Romanian folk song.
