Mihai Popsoi, at the meeting with Ukrainian officials: Ukraine defends our common values and protects the Republic of Moldova from the Kremlin's wrath
The regional security situation, strengthening energy security and combating disinformation were the topics discussed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popsoi, at the meetings with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, and Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meetings took place on the sidelines of the "Ukraine - South-Eastern Europe" Summit, which was attended by several foreign ministers from the region.
"I expressed gratitude to the leadership of Ukraine for the courage and sacrifice of the Ukrainian people, who defend our common values and protect the Republic of Moldova from the Kremlin's wrath," said Minister Mihai Popsoi.
Also, the foreign ministers present at the summit reaffirmed full solidarity with Ukraine and stressed the importance of establishing a just and lasting peace, based on the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, within the internationally recognized borders.
