Preliminary results of the Population and Housing Census will be presented by the end of January
The preliminary results of the 2024 Population and Housing Census (RPL) will be made public by January 31, 2025. The National Bureau of Statistics (BNS) announces that, initially, it intended to publish the data by the end of December 2024, but data processing required more time due to the complexity of the methodology used.
According to the BNS, the delay in publishing the preliminary results was caused by difficulties related to the lack of IDNP for over 30% of the surveyed persons, which required manual matching and probabilistic methods for data validation. In addition, the quality analysis process and editing of information required additional resources.
The preliminary results of the census will include data on the population structure by sex, age, area of residence, geographical distribution, ethno-cultural characteristics.
The final summary and detailed results will be published in stages, within 12 and 18 months, respectively, from the end of the census.
We remind you that the RPL was conducted between April 8 and July 7, 2024, during which about 2.4 million people were questioned.
