CFR Cluj, second defeat in line

The Romanian champion is in a slump! CS Universitatea Craiova defeated CFR Cluj-Napoca 2-0 at home in the 25th round of the Romanian Super League.

Andrei Ivan scored both goals in the second half with deflected shots. The first - after a free kick by Alexandru Cîmpanu, and the second - from Alexandru Crețu's cross.

CFR Cluj lost for the second time in a row in the league, after a 0-1 home defeat to FCSB last time out, and missed the chance to climb to the top of the table. On the other side, CS Universitatea Craiova, who have 3 consecutive home wins, remained in 5th place with 44 points, but have moved closer to the front runners.

The Parliament is preparing the necessary steps to establish the organization of the Republican Constitutional Referendum on the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union as well as the presidential elections on October 20, said the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu. According to the Parliament Speaker, after the voting of the project by the deputies, it will be sent to the Central Electoral Commission to start the procedure for holding the republican referendum in accordance with the legislation in force.
