According to the Public Services Agency, 371,551 residents were recorded in the database by the end of last year, 5,019 more than the previous year. Of these, 362,325 individuals hold Moldovan citizenship, an increase of 4,791.

Data indicates that 307,726 Transnistrian residents hold Moldovan ID cards, while 342,443 possess Moldovan passports. These figures reflect the impact of measures introduced through Government Decision No. 286 of 2019, which streamlines procedures for obtaining national documents for citizens from the left bank of the Dniester and Bender municipality.

In 2024, over 11,600 residents from the region applied for civil status certifications, and authorities issued more than 16,700 documents, including certificates and duplicates. Additionally, nearly 4,000 applicants received assistance with obtaining identity cards, including temporary ones.
