Earthquake in Turkey and Syria // A woman and a child, pulled alive from under the rubble
Six days after the earthquake in Turkey, a woman and a child were pulled alive from under the rubble on Sunday by a team of Salvadorans in Sehit Aileleri, announced the Salvadoran president, Nayib Bukele, AFP notes.

"The rescue team from El Salvador, with the support of Turkish colleagues, have just managed to rescue two survivors, a woman and a child, after more than 150 hours under the rubble," President Bukele wrote on Twitter. It is about Melih Efe Ozcan, a child of about 5 years old, and Deniz Dal, a woman of about 30 years old, who were hospitalized, he added.
The woman and the child were pulled out from under the rubble of the Ebrar Sitesi Hazal Apartmani building in Sehit Aileleri, Kahramanmaras commune, in southern Turkey. The minor showed signs of hypothermia. El Salvador sent a 100-member rescue team to Turkey, including 58 search and rescue specialists, 42 firefighters and medics, and several dogs.
The toll from the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria has exceeded 34,000 dead.
