How ILS CAT III improves flight safety at Chișinău Airport
Six aircraft successfully landed at Chișinău International Airport despite dense fog, thanks to the newly implemented Instrument Landing System (ILS) CAT III.
On its first day of operation, flights were carried out without significant delays or major reroutings. Only one aircraft was redirected, following the captain's decision, to a backup airport.
Representatives of Chișinău International Airport stated that, without this system, all flights would have been diverted to other airports.
The ILS CAT III system significantly improves airport operations by enhancing connectivity and safety, ensuring passengers have a seamless journey with no schedule disruptions.
