Denmark grants €5.4M to Moldova for energy crisis relief
Denmark is granting the Republic of Moldova financial aid of 5.4 million euros to help vulnerable citizens cover their energy and natural gas bills this winter.

The Danish Ambassador to Chișinău, Søren Jensen, stated that Denmark condemns the use of energy as a geopolitical weapon by Russia and reiterates its support for Moldova’s energy independence and resilience.
"These measures have a significant impact on the people of Moldova, who are struggling with rising gas and electricity prices. Denmark will continue to support Moldova’s energy independence and resilience and will remain a trusted partner to the country," said Søren Jensen.
In addition to this assistance, Denmark is supporting efforts to enhance the country’s energy efficiency, transition to renewable energy sources, and align its energy sector with European Union standards.
This latest contribution adds to Denmark’s prior support, which now exceeds 30 million euros.
