Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu will visit Chisinau on Friday
Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu will pay a working visit to the Republic of Moldova on Friday, January 31. The Romanian official's visit agenda will include meetings with his Moldovan counterpart Mihai Popșoi, President Maia Sandu, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

After the delegations' meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministers Mihai Popșoi and Emil Hurezeanu will hold press statements starting at 11:25.
Emil Hurezeanu took over as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, succeeding Luminița Odobescu, who held this portfolio since June 2023, within the Ciolacu Government I. His appointment was confirmed on December 23, after he received the investiture vote in Parliament, with 240 votes "for" and 143 "against".
Before he became head of Romanian diplomacy, Emil Hurezeanu was Romania's ambassador to Germany between 2015 and 2021, and subsequently, between June 2021 and December 2024, he represented Romania as a diplomat in Austria.
