Mihai Popșoi: The new Government will probably be inaugurated on Thursday
The Recean Cabinet will be sworn in on Thursday, the candidate designated for the position of Prime Minister and the Vice-President of the Legislative Mihai Popșoi told Moldova 1 TV. Actually all day, Dorin Recean was at the Parliament, where he held talks with civil society, the business environment and the PAS fraction about his priorities. For now, the designated candidate has not said who will be part of the new Government.
"A meeting of almost four hours with the prime minister-designate. The entire fraction had the opportunity to ask him questions in the economic field, in the field of European integration and in the field of national security. And we are confident that in the shortest possible time, probably on Thursday, we will manage to invest the government", said the Vice President of the Legislative Mihai Popșoi. According to the designated prime minister, the priority remains the opening of accession negotiations this year. Dorin Recean did not provide details on the ministers. What is certain is that the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development will be restructured into two separate institutions with a ministry specialized in energy. "And as I said, the European integration agenda is dominant. Today we discussed the priorities and the government composition and we have to succeed by Thursday in Parliament for the investiture. So the government composition will be in Parliament on Thursday and that's when we will complete these discussions. Until then, I don't think there is any point in discussing who is coming, who is leaving and how," said Dorin Recean. Meanwhile, it became clear that Andrei Spînu will not be in the new government. He was appointed by Maia Sandu as general secretary of the presidential administration.
