ANSP: 324 cases of seasonal flu reported last week
From February 3 to February 9 of this year, there were 9,589 reported cases of respiratory infections across the country. Notably, six out of ten patients were children. The overall morbidity level was classified as medium, showing an increase of 3% compared to the previous week but a 27% decrease compared to the same period last year, according to the National Public Health Agency (INSP).

According to the National Public Health Agency (ANSP), there were 324 cases of seasonal flu reported in the past week, with 250 in Chisinau. This marks a 25% decrease compared to the previous week.
Additionally, seven cases of COVID-19 were registered during this period, representing a 30% decrease from the previous week. Notably, no cases were reported among children under 14.
In light of the rising number of respiratory infections, ANSP specialists continue to recommend the following protective measures: avoid crowded places, respect hygiene practices, and wear masks in medical facilities. People are encouraged to seek medical assistance at the first signs of illness.
