Zelensky warns against U.S.-Russia peace agreement without Ukraine
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that Europeans cannot accept a scenario in which Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin make decisions unilaterally and impose a peace settlement on Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Ukraine will not accept any peace agreement negotiated between the United States and Russia without Kyiv's involvement.
The Ukrainian leader is scheduled to meet today in Munich at the annual Security Conference with U.S. Vice President JD Vance, following a phone conversation in which Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin agreed to immediately initiate negotiations to end the war.
Following their conversation, Trump stated that Ukraine’s NATO membership is not a practical option and that returning to its pre-invasion borders is highly unlikely. The U.S. president’s remarks have displeased Ukraine and alarmed European countries, which view them as a capitulation to Russia and a threat to the security of the continent.
