A bus on the Kiev-Chisinau route overturned in Florești: 16 passengers were transported to the hospital
As many as 16 people were taken to hospital with various injuries after a bus on the Kiev-Chișinău route overturned and was thrown into a tree. According to the Police, the accident occurred this morning, around 05:00, on the R-14 route, near the village of Ciripcău, Florești district.
According to preliminary information, the bus was carrying 68 passengers. On a curve, on the snow-covered road, the driver allegedly lost control of the steering wheel, which led to the vehicle overturning.
The injured people were transported to hospitals in Florești and Soroca for medical care.
The Police informed that the driver, a 35-year-old man, was breathalyzed, the result being negative. The cited source announces that the other passengers are out of danger and have been temporarily accommodated at the Florești Police Inspectorate.
The police continue their investigations to establish the exact circumstances of the accident.
