Chișinău abduction: three detained suspects face up to 10 years
The three suspects detained in the case of the abduction of a man from central Chișinău will remain in preventive custody for 30 days, after the Chișinău Court of Appeal rejected their lawyers' appeal against this measure.

The suspects were detained on February 7, accused of abducting a Moldovan citizen living in the left bank of the Dniester region. According to the General Police Inspectorate, the victim was reportedly taken by force under the pretext of a suspected robbery or theft committed in the region.
A total of six suspects have been identified in this case, but only three have been detained so far. The Promo-LEX Association condemned the daylight abduction of a Moldovan citizen, accusing the de facto authorities in Tiraspol of violating fundamental human rights.
The three suspects had previously refused to make statements to investigators and pleaded not guilty. If convicted, they could face up to 10 years in prison.
