Zelensky urges security guarantees as Ukraine faces Russian threats
After the war ends, European countries may send troops to Ukraine as part of a UN peacekeeping mission, as suggested by French President Emmanuel Macron.

European leaders stress that Ukraine must be treated as an equal at the negotiation table, with its security and interests taking priority.
It is crucial to understand the true cost of the war. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also spoke about his meeting with U.S. envoy Keith Kellogg.
“We talked about the front lines, the need to free all our prisoners held in Russia, and the importance of establishing a reliable and clear system of security guarantees to ensure that the war doesn’t restart and that the Russians won’t continue to destroy lives. Peace is necessary for all – for Ukraine, Europe, America, and the entire world,” Zelensky stated.
While they keep an eye on the news from Washington and Riyadh, residents of Ukrainian cities on the front lines live in constant fear. Novopavlivka is the last city in the Dnipropetrovsk region still outside the four regions illegally annexed by Russia in 2022. Enemy troops are just a few kilometers away, and if they reach the border of the Donetsk region, they will have accomplished their initial objectives.
“We hope a peace agreement will be reached. However, it depends on the cost we must pay.”
“We watch the news, see what’s happening in the world, we also watched the Munich conference, and we hope things will get better.”
Though the Russian offensive near Pokrovsk appears to have been halted, Ukrainian troops must continue facing Russian attacks, with no choice but to endure in trenches at minus 18 degrees, attempting to destroy enemy armored vehicles with drones and artillery. A year ago, they ran out of shells while the U.S. Congress was still debating whether to offer aid to their country.
