Women from Soroca benefit from modern medical services

Several medical institutions in the Republic of Moldova received modern equipment to provide sexual health services for women in our country, as well as for refugees from Ukraine. The investments amount to around 12 million lei. The modern equipment reached 71 localities, and the patients started medical investigations.

Nina Gangan from Sheptelici, Soroca district, is 60 years old. She signed up with the doctor right away after learning that high-performance equipment was brought in: “I decided to come to get a cytology test. We are very pleased. We don’t have to travel to the district. We need appointments; we have to wait, but we have it here”.

When selecting gynecological offices, the coverage area or the number of beneficiaries registered on the family doctor’s list was considered. In the locality, 20 women have already had a cytology test.

We do hemoglobin, not long ago I had a cytology test. At my age, I think it is necessary, we hear that our women get sick very often around the country”, says Lucia Ivanov, a resident of Sheptelici.

Lately, the Ministry of Health has been paying more attention to villages with medical equipment. I call on women aged 25 to 61 to come and have this gynecological test”, said Elena Ceban, a nurse.

The set of equipment provided to each institution contributes to improving the quality of the medical services and facilitates the work of the family doctor and his team.

This set of medical equipment is necessary for providing medical care, namely - antenatal and postnatal care of the mother and newborn, family planning, including providing people with modern contraceptive methods and cervical cancer screening”, said Natalia Ceban-Afteni, a family doctor.

In Soroca district, five medical institutions benefited from modern equipment—two from the district center and three from the villages of Şeptelici, Schineni and Cosăuți.
