Dumitru Alaiba, summoned to Parliament. BCS submitted a simple motion
The Communists and Socialists Bloc (BCS) submitted a simple motion to Parliament on Thursday, February 27, against the activity of the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba. In the document read in the plenary session of Parliament, the opposition expresses dissatisfaction with the institution's activities and accuses the minister of "failure in the development, implementation and monitoring of economic policies, poor management and the lack of concrete actions aimed at overcoming the economic challenges in the Republic of Moldova."

Initially, BCS deputy Petru Burduja requested a hearing of Minister Dumitru Alaiba, but the proposal was rejected. In response, the opposition initiated the simple motion.
“*“The economic and social crisis that the Republic of Moldova is currently facing is the result of incompetence and poor management of economic processes in the country. We have practically in all chapters a decrease in imports in the last two years, a decrease in industrial production for three consecutive years. The NBM intervenes post-factum, but the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization must come up with policies in this regard, to express its opinion on all economic processes," declared deputy Petru Burduja.
Also during the Parliament session, BCS deputy Bogdan Țîrdea requested a hearing of the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Vladimir Bolea, regarding the ministry's intention to sell the assets of the Moldovan Railways (CFM) to pay off employees' salary debts. The targeted assets would include the Railways' Palace of Culture. The proposal did not meet the required number of votes and was rejected.
We remind you that this is the third motion submitted by BCS recently, previously targeting the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Research. The agenda of today's plenary session includes a simple motion on the policies of the Ministry of Health.
The simple motion can be initiated by at least 15 deputies. It is submitted to the chairman of the session, in the plenary session of the Parliament. After receiving the motion, the chairman of the meeting brings it to the attention of the legislative, which sets the date for the debate. The debate of the simple motion takes place on the date set by the Parliament's Standing Bureau, within 14 working days from the submission.
