LIVE TEXT // Dorin Recean, the prime minister-designate, asks for the investiture vote in the plenary session of the Parliament

The appointed Prime Minister, Dorin Recean, and the proposed ministers arrived in the plenary hall of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. The official presents, from the central rostrum, the governing program "Prosperous, safe, European Moldova" and the composition of the new government, after which the investiture vote will take place.

UPDATE 13:26: Another objective is the peaceful resolution of the Transnistrian dispute. It is very important to continue our efforts so that the Russian troops are withdrawn, so that the Transnistrian area is demilitarized. UPDATE 13:25: The government will have to speed up justice reform. Thus, the new government will come up with the necessary intervention mechanisms to speed up this cleaning of the justice field. UPDATE 13:24: We will boost the fight against big and small corruption. Big corruption must be punished, the money brought back, and the informal relationships that existed at the local level must be broken. UPDATE 13:22: I saw more and more attempts to endanger the Republic of Moldova. Our institutions must be able to meet these challenges. In addition, we need to strengthen our emergency response mechanisms and be interoperable with neighboring countries. We must also confront the hybrid threats. UPDATE 13:17: The designated Prime Minister presents the future Cabinet of Ministers. UPDATE 13:15: We do European integration not for the sake of ticking, European integration means more. We need to adjust the rules of the game so that every citizen can feel free, exercise their rights, develop and increase their well-being. It is important to respond to citizens' expectations, it is important to build Europe at home. It is about what we are doing internally in the Republic of Moldova. UPDATE 3:10: My priority is to bring order and efficiency to government institutions so that they are efficient and close to citizens and business. Economic development is important, which is the basis of all the needs we have to cover. The government I intend to lead and support will focus on economic development. (…) Another priority is peace and stability. We are living in turbulent times not seen since the Second World War and together we must face these challenges. According to the law, the government is invested with the votes of at least 51 deputies. BCS MPs have already stated previously that they will not support the inauguration of the new government, even though they said they will participate in the plenary session. The opposition faction, formed by the "Sor" Party, has not publicly announced yet whether it will support the Recean Government or not. However, the governing party, PAS, has 63 seats in Parliament, so the inauguration of the new government would not cause problems. The new cabinet, which has 15 ministerial members, has ten of the former members of the team led by Natalia Gavrilița.
