Moldova secures €1.9B EU aid, appoints new minister

The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization has appointed a new minister. Doina Nistor was sworn in today, March 14, having been designated the previous day by Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

Economic growth and development are the key objectives outlined by President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean for the new Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization.

Officials commended the unprecedented support recently provided by the European Union to Moldova's economy, amounting to 1.9 billion euros, and acknowledged the efforts of former minister Dumitru Alaiba in laying the groundwork for this phase of development.
