The leader of the Russian opposition, Mikhail Khodorkovsky: the Republic of Moldova could become Russia's next target if Ukraine loses the war
Propaganda, corruption, threats and the preparation of an action by force. Such techniques are used by the Kremlin to maintain influence over the Republic of Moldova. Our country is the next target for the Russian Federation if Ukraine loses the war, believes Russian opposition leader Mikhail Khodorkovsky. He spoke about this in an exclusive interview for Moldova 1 TV.
"We see how persistently, repeatedly, various representatives of the Kremlin suggest that the Republic of Moldova is the next goal of their dreams. Until this regime falls, war is a necessity for him. And Moldova is simply seen as a kind of next target, in case everything goes well for the Kremlin in Ukraine, which I hope is deeply mistaken". Mikhail Khodorkovsky believes that Putin, despite all threats, will not use tactical nuclear weapons, because this will only make his situation worse. "The Americans have made it quite clear that, in the case of resorting to tactical nuclear weapons, Putin will receive a response. With absolutely conventional weapons, they will immediately remove Putin's entire group from the territory of Ukraine. Even if he says that the use of tactical nuclear weapons is extremely harmful and dangerous to him from the point of view of this war, could he take this step? Well, apparently so. For now, however, he still has common sense," declared Mikhail Khodorkovsky. This weekend, Mikhail Khodorkovsky will speak at the Munich Security Conference, dedicated to the war in Ukraine. There will be no Russian Federation delegation at the forum. Instead, the opposition was invited.
