Several families from Briceni and Sîngerei will benefit from support for energy rehabilitation works

Several families from the Briceni and Sîngerei districts will benefit from financial support for energy-efficient home renovations through the Residential Energy Efficiency Fund (FEERM) financing programs. To facilitate this initiative, the National Center for Sustainable Energy (CNED) has already signed the funding contracts.
According to a statement from the National Center for Sustainable Energy (CNED), a pilot project funded by the European Union will cover 50% of eligible costs for energy-efficient renovations in 180 vulnerable rural households. The Residential Energy Efficiency Fund (FEERM) will finance up to 45%, while beneficiaries will contribute only 5%.
The modernization efforts will include thermal insulation of walls and foundations, roof rehabilitation, replacement of doors and windows, and installation of biomass heating systems. These measures aim to reduce energy consumption and household expenses.
"This initiative provides essential support for rural families facing severe energy poverty. Our goal is to help them improve their homes' energy efficiency and lower energy costs. For the first time, Moldovan citizens have direct access to government-funded energy efficiency programs. CNED's priority is to ensure that this financial assistance leads to real, visible improvements for those who need it most," stated Ion Muntean, Director of CNED.
The FEERM program is developed by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, with financial support from the European Union, and is implemented by CNED and the Ministry of Energy under the "Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy for Moldova" (E4M) project.
