The EU welcomes the inauguration of the new Government in Chisinau: "We are ready to work closely"

The European Union welcomes the quick appointment of Prime Minister Dorin Recean and the appointment of the new government, said the head of the EU delegation in the Republic of Moldova Janis Mazeiks. The official expressed readiness to work closely with the new Executive to boost efforts on key reforms.

"We are ready to work closely with the new Government to boost efforts on key reforms, especially in the justice, financial and anti-corruption sectors, in the interest of all citizens and in line with the nine steps that the Republic of Moldova must take to progress further on the path of integration into the EU. Also, we want to thank Natalia Gavrilița for the way she led the Government in a period marked by unprecedented crises and for the contribution to Moldova's obtaining the status of a candidate country for EU accession", the message states. We remind you that today the Parliament gave a vote of confidence to the Activity Program and the entire list of the Government led by Dorin Recean. The new Prime Minister and the members of the Executive took the oath before the President Maia Sandu and the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu. The objectives announced by the new Executive are: ensuring discipline and order in state institutions, economic development, ensuring peace and stability.
